The luxury goods firm, which counts Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift among its fans, saw sales rise to £299.7 million in 2014 from £281.5 million in 2013.


“Cool British-attitude-style” products had also performed well, chief executive Pierre Denis said.

He explained customers in both the UK and Japan are responding well to CHOO.08 – a new line-up launched last year of grittier, urban styles inspired by London girls, priced around £600.

He added that menswear remains its fastest growing category.

Jimmy Choo, which listed in London last October, now plans to open between 10 and 15 directly-owned shops this year, with a focus on China.

The Victoria-based group trimmed its losses in 2014 to £10.8 million from £17.7 million. Underlying earnings rose to £50.2 million despite unfavourable foreign exchange movements.

Shares fell 1.4% to 172.6p.
